Labor

Eon has served on his union’s bargaining committee and understands the difference between the security of a union job and the precarity of at-will labor. He will always stand on the side of unions, stridently protect union and worker rights, and fight to raise the minimum wage to $30 an hour in New York City.

For the good of our state and the good of all workers, union jobs are baked into Eon’s most ambitious policy objectives — delivering universal healthcare, public renewable energy, green schools, and green social housing can only happen partnership with labor, and will all create good, permanent union jobs in New York.

Eon will also push to repeal the Turner Law, which deprives public employees of their full rights to unionize, and to make labor organizing easier across the state.
